Privacy policy

The short version

Beam & Bezel does not have user accounts, does not sell anything directly, and does not ask you for personal information except on the contact form. We use Google Analytics to count visits and clicks, and affiliate links that identify us to the retailer when you click through.

What we collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which links are clicked. It records information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring site. We use it in aggregate; we do not attempt to identify individual visitors.

Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data on Google’s infrastructure. Google acts as a data processor for this and its own privacy policy applies to that processing. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on, or by blocking the script in your browser or with an extension. The site works normally either way.

Affiliate links

When you click a buy button, you pass through a redirect on our own domain and arrive at the retailer with our tracking identifier attached. The retailer may set its own cookies. We do not receive your name, address, payment details or the contents of your order — only, in aggregate and after a delay, that qualifying purchases occurred.

The contact form

If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you enter, plus a timestamp. That message is delivered to info@beamandbezel.com by email and is retained in that mailbox so we can reply and keep a record of corrections. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not have one.

The form includes a hidden field and a timing check to reject automated submissions, and we rate-limit submissions per network address. That involves briefly holding your IP address in server memory; it is not written to disk or shared.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard operational logs including IP addresses and request details. That processing is governed by Vercel’s privacy policy.

What we do not collect

• No user accounts, because there are none.
• No newsletter list. We do not have one.
• No payment information. We never take a payment.
• No advertising network trackers or retargeting pixels.
• No social media tracking widgets.
• No fingerprinting or cross-site profiling of our own.

Cookies

The site itself sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics sets cookies as described above, and the retailer you click through to will set its own. You can block or delete all of them in your browser and every part of this site will continue to work.

Third parties

• Vercel — hosting and delivery.
• Google Analytics — traffic and click measurement.
• Microsoft (Graph) — delivery of contact form messages by email.
• Amazon — the retailer we link to, once you click through.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to its processing. In practice the only personal data we hold is what you sent us through the contact form. Write to info@beamandbezel.com and we will action it.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information through the contact form, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes
